New patient
What to expect at your first visit
If it's been a while, or you're just not sure what happens at a dental visit anymore — that's okay. Here's exactly how your first appointment goes, start to finish, so there are no surprises.
Step 1
Before you arrive
We send your paperwork ahead of time so you can fill it out from home — no clipboard in the waiting room. Bring your ID, insurance card if you have one, and a list of any medications. Our entrance is on Fletcher Ave, not Wellesley — see the map below, with parking right out front.
Step 2
A full, systematic exam
This is where we're different. Every new patient gets a complete look — not just a quick glance. Dr. Baker evaluates four things, every time:
Digital X-rays and photos where they help. It's how small problems get caught while they're still small.
Step 3
See your own mouth on the screen
Your findings go up on the screen in the room, so you can see exactly what Dr. Baker sees. No jargon, no guessing — just a clear picture of where things stand and why.
Step 4
A clear plan and honest numbers
You leave knowing your options and what they cost — up front, in writing. We offer a 5% discount for cash or check, file your insurance as a courtesy, and work with Sunbit, Cherry, Proceed, and CareCredit if you'd rather spread payments out.
Step 5
You decide
If your teeth are healthy, we'll tell you that. If something needs attention, we'll explain why and what happens if you wait. No pressure, no upsell — you're in charge of what happens next.
